Undersuit
The standard bodysuit of the Imperial Military is a Nanoweave Fiber, allow for protection and a comfortable fit for any soldier. Upon putting on the suit, it will seal to the user. The suit offers multiple functions, such as locking in the heat produced by the soldier and expelling it through the feet of the suit, administering nutrients to the body to help with both keeping it hydrated and proper nutrition sustained, and sealing wounds and administering pain medicine to help the soldier keep moving. The bodysuit allows for a complete seal from outside forces, allowing for soldiers to work in non-atmosphere conditions, most suits containing enough oxygen for a few hours.
Armor
The standard armor of the Imperial military has a single use of protecting the soldier but multiple builds, consisting of armor built from Steel to, rarely, Givosion Iron. The armor is segmented to allow for unrestricted joint movement, without compromising protection. The armor protects from both kinetic and energy attacks, the armor stopping kinetic attacks by absorbing most of the impact while the armor allows for energy hits to be spread across the armor.
Shields/Shielding
Shields are used as a common way to defend a single soldier or groups of soldiers during combat, be in in the open field or room to room fighting. The size of the shields can vary from being that of covering a few feet of the target, or the entire body. Two seperate versions exist, PolyShields and KenShields. Polyshields created an energy field around the wearer, and could either be in a conventional shield like form, or encompass the entire body. The shield would absorb energy strikes, collecting them until it was either vented after a shutdown, or overloading and venting itself. Kinetic attacks would be disintegrated by the shield, using up a minimal amount of energy in the process. Most PolyShields had the use of allowing items to go through them from the rear, allowing users to place a weapon from their side and fire it upon the enemy. Kenshields were more like standard shields, being either set in their size or collapsible, allowing for easier carrying. Much like the standard armor, energy attacks would be distributed across the whole shield, which could cause the shield to heat up and not be usable after awhile. Kinetic attacks would either fragment the rounds or ricochet on the harder shield, causing splash damage to anything in front of the shield that was undefended. Eventual failure in the shields could be caused by either too many rounds striking the same spot, or over sized rounds. Kenshields were cheaper to produce for the Imperial Military, but PolyShields were preferred.
Mk I: The standard in Polyshielding, the Mk I was a minimum defense shielding, which could be expanded to defend most of the arm and part of the torso of the user. It could deflect both energy and kinetic attacks
Mk II: A bulkier but better protecting shield, the Mk II had to be carried as a standard shield, but would expand upon activation to cover the whole body of the user. It could stop energy and kinetic attacks from the front, but offered not defense to the sides or rear of the user.
Mk III: The first in the line of personal shields, the Mk III would create a bubble around the user. This bubble would stop almost all attacks, but the Mk III suffered from not allowing the user to return fire upon the enemy and also did not stop attacks from slower moving objects, such as melee weapons.
Mk IV: Quickly created after the creation of Mk III shields, the Mk IV shield brought the area of the shield down to just over the user, allowing them to still use their personal weapon, but still offering defense. Excellent at diffusing energy weapons, a kinetic attack would cause a small impact as it was destroyed by the shield, causing some discomfort for the user. This is the most commonly used shield.
Mk V: The first shield created that could stop melee attacks, the Mk V picked up where the IV left off, and improved it. Its "life" was doubled from the IV, and was overall a better shield, but at almost triple the cost.
Mk VI: The first shield that could stop almost any attack launched at it, and protect the user from a vacuum, the Mk VI was nicknamed the "God Shield", but its price was so great that only the richest or most connected could own one.
